Safe Drive Stay Alive

Posted on: 04/03/2020

Safe Drive Stay Alive was a very alert campaign that made me reflect afterwards about those driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and the impact it can have on families and close relatives afterwards. We were invited by Croydon Council to The Brit School to listen to emergency services talking about their past experiences, working in their areas of expertise and dealing with fatal car collisions. An ambulance paramedic, a firefighter, a police officer and a parent who lost his daughter to a fatal collision as an innocent bystander spoke about their experiences which were very engaging and heartbreaking.

I left the hall feeling blessed that I am alive, but upset because people are involved in car accidents everyday due to reckless drivers. Everyone should be aware of Safe Drive Stay Alive and being safe on the roads.
