HPS6F judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted

We are pleased to share with you information and quotes from our recent Ofsted inspection, our first since we opened nearly four years ago. It has been a challenging period with two years of our development being under Covid 19 restrictions.

HPS6F was judged by inspectors to be a ‘Good’ school, with the quality of education and behaviour of pupils assessed very positively. Our nurturing and caring ethos particularly shines through in the report, which is gratifying to see.

We have published the report in full on our website and hope you will take the time to read it. Some of the highlights include:

  • “The curriculum reflects local skills shortages and job opportunities…the vast majority of students move on to positive next steps and the end of their courses”
  • “Students appreciate that staff care about their academic progress. Staff provide students with good individual support as well as helping them in small groups.”
  • “Students benefit from excellent specialist support for their welfare and well-being.”

The report also highlights three main areas for us to now focus on.  We are actively developing each of these areas.
